Sanquin Pharmaceutical Services holds a GMP-license for the production of biopharmaceuticals by means of mammalian cell technology. Its multipurpose plant can handle several projects at the same time, allowing for sufficient capacity to initiate your production and/or development needs on short notice.
We have ample experience in designing productions strategies aimed at obtaining a highly purified product, which meet all current guidelines with respect to viral safety and other relevant issues.
Several generic purification schemes for different types of proteins are available, allowing us to provide you already in an early stage of development with a fully validated process. The use of our own, specially designed, serum-free culture medium in fermentation, enables us to provide you with a process free of concerns related to the transmission of pathogens such as prions and mammalian viruses. | |
In addition to our process development services, we can also provide you with services aimed at the optimisation and characterisation of your cell line. On several occasions, we were able to increase protein production significantly, while the cells were adapted to grow under serum free conditions. In combination with the other services we offer, we are able to provide you with the full array of services required for the development of clinical grade material without the need to deal with different providers.
