Thesis:
The role of CD13/Aminipeptidase N in vascular and ovarian cancer biology
12 May 2004
Promotor: Prof. dr. H.M. Pinedo and prof. dr. V.W.M. van Hinsbergh
Faculty of Medical Oncology, Free University Medical Center, Amsterdam.

Research interests:
The research projects aim at the improving the outcome of stem cell transplantation with cord blood stem cells. This includes ex vivo expansion of the stem cells as well as co-transplantation with other cells. The current focus is on combining ex vivo expansion with multiple cord blood transplantation. In addition, we are working on the development of new products from cord blood.

Technology:
Isolation of specific cell populations; culturing of cells; hematopoietic colony forming assays; flowcytometry; immunocytochemistry; in vitro migration assays; in vivo analysis of stem cell engraftment.
