Based on the initial preparative work done in 2003 to develop a Quality System and Quality Management System for the specific operations of SCS, work was done to create a Good Office Practice (GOP) equivalent to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
This resulted in application for ISO 9001: 2000 inspection with a phase 1 (document) audit in October and a phase 2 (final) audit in December 2004.
On December 13, 2004 SCS was formally awarded the certificate of compliance with ISO 9001: 2000 by Lloyd’s Register. Its validity is as usual for 3 years.
The year 2005 was the first full year after the ISO 9001:2000 certificates was awarded in December 2004.
During the first surveillance audit in December 2005 a major nonconformity was reported. This resulted in a prompt improvement which adequately solved the problem as described in the extra surveillance audit in March 2006. It demonstrates a quality system and management that indeed results in improvement.
The annual audit in 2006 was completed successful. By the end of 2007 a new phase 1 and 2 audit shall be performed to obtain a continued ISO 9001:2000 certificate. |
