In 2005 Sanquin organised the first of a biennial series of conferences under the title of Sanquin Spring Seminars. Every two years, leading scientist will address important issues in blood transfusion, the latest scientific developments as well as their implications for blood banking, transfusion medicine, and transfusion policy. The third of this series of Sanquin Spring Seminar was held on 16 & 17 April 2009 in, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on the topic of Cellular Therapies.
